Since my new apartment won't be ready until near the end of july and my domestic partner taz has already moved out, I've just relocated myself into my old room in my parent's house.

It's going to be a long month...

For the past week, I've mainly been working, sleeping, or eating so here's the roundup.

Work: Pushing too many pencils, but not for long.

Sleep: Decent but not enough of it.

Eating: Tamarind Bistro (1626 West Broadway) - Fairly decent westernized indian food, but coming from the krishna jamal legacy (rubina tandoori) I was expecting a lot more. Dishes lacked the depth and richness of the better indian cuisine I've had and the tamarind frites were downright awful (soggily fried wedges with tamarind sauce on top).

Octopus Garden: (1995 Cornwall Street) - Interesting and unique sushi and "japanese" food. Well prepared, tasty, fun stuff. Maybe the best yam fries in the city.

House of Selassie: (2145 Granville) - Ethiopian food is more than sacks of UN aid and porridge. It's beautiful meat and veggie stews and legume salads served on a soft sourdough crepe. Not a fine dining establishment by any means but great food, a genial host and cheesecake etc right next door. Despite being a fairly quiet place, they served some of the freshest food I've eaten in a while. Eat til you die for $16.

I'm not getting any decent posts up because the CIA has me pushing too many pencils.

Bonus marks if you know the reference.

The best thing about apple switching to intel processors is that according to their own marketing, their new machines will eat balls.
